Video Browsing Tool (JRS)

Overview

Video Browsing Tool is an application for browsing in a video collection by clustering and filtering video segments based on content-based features. The central component of the user interface is a light table view which shows the current content set and cluster structure using a number of representative frames for each of the clusters. The clusters are visualised by coloured areas around the keyframes. A typical browsing session consists of repeated clustering and reducing content by selecting individual clusters.

Features

The browsing tool allows clustering the keyframes of a video collection by the following content-based features:

  • • Camera motion
  • • Motion activity
  • • Colour layout
  • • Visible faces
  • • Settings (location of recording)
  • • Retakes (multiple recordings of one scene)
  • • Media Item ID
Relevant clips can be stored in a result set which can be exported as Edit Decision List.
