Digimedia (CCMA)
Overview
Digimedia is a small and modified version of Digition, CCMA's own Media Asset Management, which has been transformed in order to be able to cope with SEMEDIA metadata, technologies and new user requirements. It is mainly used to show professional broadcast users the potential of SEMEDIA research, and to be able to gather their feedback in respect to the technologies. This feedback lets the research focus on real needs of the Broadcast scenario, one of the three real scenarios under SEMEDIA's scope.
Features
The changes can be easily seen on the user interface, but a hard work has been also developed on the background; for example, regarding communication protocols, or regarding the automaton that has been newly created for automatising the assets processing. For the moment, several SEMEDIA technologies, from several partners, have been integrated inside Digimedia: stripe images, keyframes, camera motion and tag suggestion tool. Besides, other SEMEDIA tools are also being integrated inside SEMEDIA at the moment (e.g., events detection, or Yahoo!'s ranking).
